About the Opportunity

The Senior Commercial Business Analyst leads and drives a culture of analytical thinking and data driven decision making with a strong focus on insights and actions to drive sales growth. This includes partnering with key commercial stakeholders and other cross-function team members to analyze business performance and build detailed plans to improve performance. This position seeks intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, ability to influence decisions at the highest levels within the organization and build/sustain a culture of data-based decision making in the organization.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Leverages an understanding of the teams' needs to develop KPI/dashboarding capabilities that enhance business performance.
  • Curates content to support the health of business discussions that aim to uncover insights, diagnose business drivers, and develop fact-based recommendations to drive growth.
  • Supports the long-range planning process including forecast support and drive cross-functional alignment between supply chain & commercial teams.
  • Leads the process to manage product hierarchies, enhancing sales reporting and shaping the creation of a company-wide Hierarchy management tool/process.
  • Leads and participates in cross-functional team meetings.
  • Leads the diagnostics process and supports the sales team with relevant and forward-looking business performance insights.
  • Uses the latest analytical models and tools including Data Discovery solutions, Dashboarding Suites, statistical techniques and forecast modeling to provide continuous updates and insights at all levels of the organization in the form of standard reports and scorecards, ad hoc analysis, strategic plans and forecasts, new product business cases and advanced marketing analytics.
  • Supports, and at times may facilitate, the business planning, strategic planning process & long-range forecasting process in close partnership with the Finance department.
  • Supports "deep dive" workshops to identify business acceleration initiatives.
  • Works with information systems (IS) to develop and maintain tableau type dashboards for analysis of key performance metrics.
  • Works with key stakeholders and teams to orchestrate a process to drive the creation of a 3-year rolling bottom up forecast for all digital products including impact on core portfolio.
  • Leads training sessions for teams to encourage adoption of new analytical tools.
  • Provides support for key executive reviews including deck preparation and consolidation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What does it take to be successful?

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 10 years of directly related cumulative finance, analytics and/or data analysis experience is required.
  • Experience in sales, sales management, and/or marketing is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using data and analytics to influence decisions is imperative.
  • Proven ability to synthesize data, interpret data, and process observations into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven knowledge/use of the latest analytical models and tools.
  • The ability to demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills is required.
  • The ability to demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel skills is required.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and strong organizational skills are required.
  • Proven ability to achieve results where a high degree of collaboration is needed is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to reconcile external and internal data sources is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across functional areas to deliver results.
  • Ability to learn technical concepts by reading work instructions and standard operating procedures and completing on-the-job training.
  • Knowledge of cGMP regulations ISO 13485, 21CFR Part 820, CMDR SOR/98-282, 93/42/EEC, RDC 16 2013, MHLW MO 169 and TG(MD)R Sch3 preferred.
