Your Role

The Mandates & Corporate Services team drives execution of the mandated scope in partnership with Business Owner and Driver. The Business Systems Analyst, Senior will report to the Manager, Program and Project Management. In this role you will work to solve business needs proactively and creatively through enterprise-wide cross-functional collaboration. Be responsible for eliciting, documenting, and defining business requirements and driving process development for mid to highly complex projects and large-scale initiatives with significant impact to the business and/or systems. Leverage your experience in impacting and influencing business decisions to deliver key insights and optimize solutions.

Your Work

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to all SAFe Agile ceremonies and Increment Planning events
  • Conduct routine data analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis to align information technology solutions with business initiatives
  • Formulate and define routine systems scope and objectives through research combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
  • Develop or modify information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements and revising existing systems
  • Identify a desired future state that addresses a business problem utilizing multiple analytic methodologies and business process modeling and gap analysis
  • Manage requirements and analysis to the smallest set that will provide the biggest impact in advancing business objectives and meeting mandate compliance
  • Quantify work resource requirements. Ability to conduct research, impact analysis and determine the level of effort to complete requirements elicitation and defining the breakdown of tasks, resource loading, issue tracking and resolution management
  • Support the business through development and provide high level testing scenarios in the form of requirement acceptance criteria
  • Drive and support continued process improvements for internal and enterprise initiatives

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Required experience in the healthcare or other related entity
  • Stakeholder Management with large complex organizations
  • Experience performing business analysis for work efforts with medium to high complexity
  • Medi-Cal and Medicare experience preferred
  • SAFe Agile methodology experience preferred using Jira and Confluence

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $77,990.00 to $116,930.00 for California.

Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
