Business Systems Analyst, Consultant

Your Role

The Finance Shared Services team is responsible for ensuring projects or programs that impact the controllership area are addressed and have little impact to our internal processes and external partners. The Business System Analysis, Consultant will report to the Senior Manager of Program and Project Management. In this role you will guide, influence, and build relationships in this role to drive process automation and behavioral change in Finance. They will provide project support, deliver business requirements, review design solutions, and partner in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Your Work

In this role, you will:
* Consult, lead complex data analysis, needs assessments, and cost/benefit analysis to align information technology solutions with business initiatives
* Formulate and define complex systems scope and objectives through research combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
* Develop or modify information systems, including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements for complex or new systems
* Lead research, impact analysis and determine the level of effort to complete requirements elicitation and defining the breakdown of tasks, resource loading, issue tracking and resolution management
* Be responsible for developing and implementing new products and/or approaches in conjunction with implementing new/existing technologies
* Manage critical programs, including new hire onboarding and people leader training
* Lead complex data analysis and needs assessments
* Formulate and define complex systems' scope and objectives
* Develop or modify information systems based on business and user needs
* Lead research, impact analysis, and task breakdown

Your Knowledge and Experience

* Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
* Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
* Programming knowledge is required
* Advanced knowledge of VBA, SQL, macros, and MS Office automation
* Previous healthcare experience or knowledge of TriZetto products
* In-depth understanding of healthcare practices related to membership, capitation, Medicare and Medi-Cal
* Finance experience, including revenue and expense accounting. Banking knowledge around transactional data, NACHA files, bank reconciliation, and other related tasks

Pay Range: The pay range for this role is $94,160.00 to $141,240.00 for California.

Note: Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
