American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Manager - Information Management to join our Information Management (IMD) department. This position will lead and manage the daily oversight and direction of the Reporting and Analytics team. This individual is accountable for ensuring the team is scalable, efficient, and meets all assigned deliverables within the required specifications.

Salary Range

American Specialty Health complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate's qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $89,300 to $130,000 Full-Time Annual Salary Range.

Remote Worker Considerations

Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely and must be able to work from home in a designated work area with company-provided technology equipment.This remote/WFH position requires you have a stable connection to your Internet Service Provider with the ability to participate by video in online meetings over a reliable and consistent network (minimum internet download of 50 Mbps and 50 Mbps upload speed).

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Reporting and Analytics team and coordinate with related business units to maintain reporting needs for the organization.
  • Works with leadership to provide goals and objectives for the Reporting and Analytics team. Monitors team progress on said goals.
  • Executes the team's defined strategy.
  • Facilitates the team's delivery of reporting and analytics and provides thought leadership for the team's discipline.
  • Supports team by working collaboratively to solve barriers, identify potential efficiency gains, elevate risks, and provide thoughtful and timely feedback.
  • Contributes to hiring process by addressing hard skill requirements as well as candidate's orientation toward the department's vision and strategic priorities.
  • Develops and executes onboarding plans that allow new hires to start contributing quickly to the team's progress.
  • Works with leadership to consult across departments on new reporting, updates to existing reporting, and potential insights from new products. Translates findings into team deliverables.
  • Provides oversight for reporting outcomes through a comprehensive quality program.
  • Maintains working knowledge in all operational areas for use in the development of reporting enhancements and requirements.
  • Provides ongoing coaching and development of staff to grow skills and support career path opportunities.
  • Serves on committees, workgroups, and project teams as needed.
  • Always maintains confidentiality of all sensitive business information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent management experience. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • At least three years of progressive staff supervision and/or management experience.
  • Experience using KPIs to advance a team.
  • Experience with various project management methodologies (agile, waterfall, etc.).
  • Proficient in core MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience working in external and internal client facing roles.
  • Working knowledge of report building tools used by the team (T-SQL, query optimization, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of data visualization design and development techniques a plus.
  • Experience in a managed health care setting a plus.
  • Models initiative and is able to successfully manage multiple priorities, communicate with and lead others for positive change.
  • Uses effective communication and listening skills to maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Supports the team with sufficient analysis of information, problem solving, and issue resolution.
  • Manages all phases of the development life cycle from requirements to the release and maintenance of report deliverables.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership to develop performance goals and leading team and individual performance through data and outcomes.
  • Works collaboratively with leadership to hire new talent, develop and execute onboarding plans.
  • Models strong operational, continuous improvement and process management skills.
  • Creates, implements, and tracks the use of business and system process workflows.
  • Independently facilitates and manages meetings.

Mobility

Physical Requirements

Ability to speak, see and hear other personnel and/or objects. Ability to communicate both in verbal and written form. Ability to travel within the facility. Capable of using a telephone and computer keyboard. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
