Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)

The Microsoft SharePoint Administrator is responsible for the overall administration and support of the SharePoint system for Calpine Energy Solutions. The SharePoint administrator will also be responsible for the analysis of requirements to ensure the requirements accurately fulfil business needs. The position will work directly with various business users to manage all day-to-day SharePoint activities. This position will be the primary resource to respond to project requests, enhancement requests, and application issues.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet with client leadership and stakeholders to gather input and analyze the feedback to develop technical solutions.
  • On time submission of deliverables and the mitigation of all issues along the way.
  • Present all solutions and findings to client leadership, stakeholders and internal team leadership.
  • Design, develop and implement all SharePoint solutions.
  • Analyze current state (SP On-Premise) and develop or continue the migration plan from SharePoint On Premise to SharePoint Online.
  • Maintain an accurate product backlog and features list.
  • Troubleshoot all technical issues relating to SharePoint.
  • Create all document libraries, custom lists, and their corresponding features.
  • Implement content types and metadata based on industry SharePoint best practices.
  • Conversion from InfoPath to SharePoint d365.
  • Create and optimize SharePoint site templates and master pages for a consistent and user-friendly experience.
  • Develop user guides and job-aids to be used for client training.
  • Maintenance of in-depth requirements based upon knowledge of the client's business processes, data, and applications.
  • Have expertise in one or more of the following areas; business process, IT process, applications, and data used by their respective team and or client.
  • Responsible for becoming an expert user of applications and systems to support internal and external clients.
  • Create and perform tests to ensure requirements have been met.
  • Responsible for the timely entry, escalation, and general management of user requests and issues.
  • Responsible for providing management and or stakeholders with accurate and straight-forward updates on the status of new development, enhancement requests, and issues across candidate's area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for handling questions regarding requirements, testing, client needs, issues found, and resolutions.
  • Responsible for adopting work management tools including: Jira, Azure DevOps, and data analytics tools, e.g. Power BI, SQL queries, Excel models.

Job Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline - or equivalent work experience.
  • Have 2-4 years of equivalent work experience performing and/or proficiency in performing related functions.
  • Experience trouble shooting SharePoint workflows and lists is a must.
  • Experience as the Subject Matter Expert for SharePoint, both On Premise and Online.
  • Experience writing business requirements, and performing functional testing.
  • Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with SharePoint framework (SPFx) development is a plus.
  • Experience developing custom workflows using Microsoft Power Automate or Logic Apps is a plus
  • Experience with a SharePoint migration from On Premise to Online is a plus.
  • Previous experience with Azure and Confluence is a plus.
  • Experience with SharePoint UI development and design is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed, goal oriented, and able to learn independently.
  • Must possess initiative, advanced decision-making skills, and problem solving abilities.
  • Project and product management experience a plus.
  • Ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences and teach to team members in depth.
  • Ability to manage one's time across multiple assignment simultaneously in coordination with team members.
  • Ability to focus and perform at a high level in an open and dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to independently break down complex business processes to identify requirements, create test scenarios, create training documentation, and explain the business need to operational and sales teams.
  • Ability to work within a Scrum team and Agile environment.
  • Ability to assess priorities and make recommendations to management regarding schedule, plans, design, and tactics for current and future SharePoint projects, or related ancillary applications.
  • Ability to resolve technical SharePoint issues considered low to medium in complexity.
  • Ability to conduct user training and walkthroughs as requested.
  • Ability to work with a geographically diverse, and cross functional teams to achieve goals
  • Ability to quickly master new and varying SharePoint specific business topics
  • Takes initiative to learn and teach complex business processes.

Salary Information - Position eligible for annual bonus.

Salary range - $70,696 to $104,276
