The Asset Optimization Business Analytics Intern will support modeling and budgeting efforts through analysis of operational data, market research, and report development. The Business Analytics Intern will be responsible for leading at least one analysis from end-to-end, joining a fast-paced and dynamic team that collaborates across the organization. This position will highlight how data, analysis, and visualizations are used to drive business decisions.
Goals of the Internship
- Build reporting to visualize crucial analysis and identify trends
- Develop an improved process to take analysis from data to final report
Analyze operational and financial data
Skills to acquire:
- Fully comprehend operational expenditures and cost drivers for renewable energy projects
- Excel-based analysis and modeling
- Tableau analysis and reporting
Education/Experience:
- Undergraduate or Graduate student
- Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related program
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Ability to learn quickly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Familiar with R, Matlab, Python, or other programming skills; Interested in growing a career in renewable energy
Working Conditions:
100% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers, phones, and general office equipment.
Preference for San Diego or West Coast candidates.
