Essential Job Duties

The Department of Performing Arts and Technology at North Carolina State University seeks applications for a Part-Time Lecturer to teach MUS 240 – Introduction to the Music Industry, providing introduction to the commercial music industry, including its history and development in the context of multiple popular and traditional genres in the U.S. This course will increase a student’s understanding of common business practices as related to the music industry and assist students in pursuing an effective professional career in music.

Minimum Education and Experience

Requires master’s degree, an equivalent degree, or equivalent professional experience.


Other Required Qualifications

Experience in the commercial music industry.

Preferred Qualifications

Publishing, artist representation, performance support, studio engineering /production, booking, management or other industry-related activities.
