GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cape Cod Community College is mindful that it is not only what we teach, but also how we teach, that is important for student success. The College values evidence-based teaching that fosters retention of students and development of students' career goals. The full-time, tenure-track Business Administration Faculty position, to be filled for the Academic Year 2025-2026, includes responsibility for creating an inclusive learning environment and teaching in a manner that promotes equity of opportunity and achievement that is in keeping with the student-ready values and goals of the College.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

  • Teach courses in the Business Administration program to a diverse student population with a workload in alignment with the Massachusetts Community College Council (MCCC) collective bargaining agreement. Courses to include some combination of Introduction to Business (BUS100), Introduction to Entrepreneurship (ENT108), Business Law (BUS120), Marketing (MKT), Survey of Accounting (ACC100) in addition to others.
  • Meet the required non-teaching duties as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement, such as advising, college service, and office hours.
  • Participate in the department's evaluation, development, and implementation of curriculum, courses, and programs.
  • Maintain own professional growth and remain current in the field of Business Administration.
  • Use the College Learning Management System - Moodle.
  • Engage actively in College, Department, and Division services and activities.
  • Use new technology for courses as required.
  • Participate in professional development activities.

Job Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • College-level teaching experience in Business Administration.
  • Commitment to serving a diverse community of learners and the community college mission.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet challenges of a broad curriculum and student body with diverse abilities, interests, and backgrounds.
  • Industry experience in Business Administration or related area.
  • Demonstrated evidence of keeping current in the field of Business.
  • Ability to relate pedagogically to the needs and interests of students.
  • Experience with and commitment to the integration of technology including the use of Learning Management Systems (Moodle, et al.).

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Doctorate in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in a global, multicultural academic setting.
  • Experience with and commitment to the integration of technology and alternative delivery systems of instruction in the teaching-learning process.
  • Capability to teach a broad range of courses within Business Administration.
  • Experienced in the use of alternative delivery systems of instruction (Remote/Synchronous) in the teaching-learning process.

Additional Information:


COMPENSATION
: Full-time, tenure-track, MCCC Unit position with anticipated Annual Salary Range of $52,880-$66,725. Actual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, determined by a formula-based classification system, consistent with the MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Includes participation in a comprehensive employee benefits program including option for membership in the Massachusetts State Employees' Retirement System.
