Primary Purpose:
Coordinates and oversees the development of SDG&E's Clean Transportation programs and initiatives and participate in regulatory proceedings before the CPUC. Responsible for regulatory deliverables (e.g., testimony, advice letters, compliance reports). Works collaboratively across SDG&E to ensure implementation and alignment of Company's overall Clean Transportation strategy and policy objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitors regulatory proceedings and provides project management oversight related to Clean Transportation across the enterprise and contribute to the creation of policy position papers, analytical studies, directs testimony, and rebuttal arguments to be used in clean transportation regulatory proceedings.
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders, working cross-functionally to ensure alignment and consistencies in company's approach throughout different proceedings and forums.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory deliverables and complete reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Assists with the development of Clean Transportation programs, informed by market trends and data analytics, by drafting regulatory papers required for program approval.
- Represents SDG&E and Clean Transportation externally during joint utility meetings, state and federal transportation electrification coalitions and all other external-facing opportunities.
- Responsible for directing, planning, preparation and administration department budgets, process improvements and resource plans.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Hybrid Schedule:
- Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.
- We offer a hybrid work environment. Although the schedule may vary, typically this will allow you to work from the office three days per week and work remotely on the remaining workdays
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Economics, Business, Accounting, Political Science, law, public policy or related or equivalent training and/or experience.
- 5 years experience in energy industry and/or state/federal regulatory and policy environments.
- Ability to clearly articulate ideas and convey messages across audiences, utilizing formal and informal communication modes such as presentations, written documents, and one-on-one conversations.
- Knowledge of energy industry including key policy, regulatory, legislative, and competitive issues facing SDG&E.
- Project management principles knowledge including managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Positively influences others and gains their respect, cooperation, and support.
- Proficient in gathering data and information then analyzing and evaluating it to make recommendations.
- Travel is required within the service territory to various company locations in addition to potential travel outside of the territory to attend meetings, training, and conferences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred.
