POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Director, Business Transformation PMO reports to the Executive Vice President - PMO
  • Located in Irvine CA or San Diego CA
  • Full-Time
  • Hybrid

The Project Management & Strategy Director will play a crucial role in shaping the organizational culture by leading change management initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and establishing critical capabilities for sustainable growth. The regional/business unit lead will enhance visibility and communication around changes, promoting clarity of vision and accountability, and recognizing behaviors that contribute to team success. This position will exemplify an agile and open-minded approach, guiding employees through their transformation journeys.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Prioritize Business Requirements

  • Collaborate with senior management to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Identify and articulate digital transformation requirements across the enterprise.
  • Align business activities, strategies, and transformations with internal capabilities.
  • Balance short-term improvements with long-term value.
  • Targets: End-to-end business knowledge, digital transformation experience, strategic decision-making.

Stand-up Business Infrastructure

  • Design and build necessary infrastructure, including policies and processes.
  • Serve as a change agent, gaining buy-in for new operational methods.
  • Simplify business processes using technology and clarify employee roles.
  • Targets: Benefit realization, ROI, employee engagement.

Execute Structured Program Management and Reporting

  • Implement structured program management to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget.
  • Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, risks, and issues, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Coordinate transformation efforts across departments, leveraging Agile methodologies.
  • Set expectations and track progress to foster accountability.
  • Targets: Schedule adherence, budget adherence, successful transitions and role fills.

Generate Long-term Growth Opportunities

  • Collaborate with leadership to establish a long-term vision for growth and transformation.
  • Identify actionable opportunities based on consumer insights and market trends.
  • Develop a prioritized action plan for achieving organic growth objectives.
  • Targets: Identification of 2-5 actionable opportunities annually.

Support Problem Solving of Key Challenges

  • Develop and implement PMO strategies and frameworks that support organizational objectives.
  • Work with business leaders to identify and address key challenges.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and enforce risk management best practices across all projects.
  • Maintain open communication and transparency throughout the organization.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development within the PMO.
  • Build trusting relationships with Board members and stakeholders.
  • Targets: Organizational health metrics and tracking action items.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, transformation, or program management.
  • Proven track record of leading organizational change and digital transformation.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, especially with C-level executives.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies, including Agile, JIRA and Waterfall.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and break down functional silos.
  • Experience in change management and organizational development.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
