Job Description
The David B. O'Maley College of Business at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach Campus) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance.
The candidate is expected to possess a doctoral degree in Finance or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. ABD candidates will be considered, but the degree must be completed by August 2025. Candidates with prior background and/or research experience in the aviation and aerospace industry are strongly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate should have strong research potential and a commitment to teaching excellence. The successful candidate is expected to engage in scholarship to build and maintain a strong publication record in discipline-based refereed journals to enable ongoing classification as "Scholarly Academic" under the guidelines of AACSB International. A research focus in aviation and aerospace finance would be a plus.
Department of Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Information Sciences faculty carry a three-three teaching load. The candidate is expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and possess the potential to supervise the research work of doctoral students. College committee memberships and service to the University are also required.
