Location


 

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information


 

The Department of Economics, Finance, and Quantitative Analysis is one of the largest departments in the Coles College of Business with slightly over 40 full-time faculty members. There are two centers affiliated with the department- the Bagwell Center for the Study of Markets and Economic Opportunity, and the Education Economics Center.

We are associated with several programs offered by Coles College. At the undergraduate level, Economics or Finance majors earn the BBA degree. At the MBA level, we offer a Finance concentration, and a Business Intelligence Certificate (in collaboration with the Department of Information Systems). From Fall 2024, we will also offer a concentration in Decision and Risk Analytics in the PhD program.

The department has a long-term record of producing quality research in areas of economics, finance and management science. Our faculty also love sharing their knowledge and expertise with students. In addition to classroom learning, students are offered a wide range of experiential opportunities to give them an edge at the start of their careers.

Job Summary


 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in Economics, Finance, and Quantitative Analysis in the Department of Economics, Finance, and Quantitative Analysis for the academic year 2024 - 2025. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

 
  • Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Economics or Finance.

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications


 

To teach undergraduate courses:

  • A Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Economics or Finance or a closely related discipline is required.

OR

  • A Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.

 


To teach graduate courses:

  • A Terminal/Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Economics or Finance or a related discipline is required.
