Position Summary

Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a talented and dynamic Adjunct Instructor to join our team of faculty who are committed to student success.  Adjunct Instructors who subscribes to the notion of meeting students where they are, DCCC has a place for you!

The Business, Computing and Social Services Division of Delaware County Community College seeks Adjunct Accounting instructor(s) to teach several courses.  Content areas sought include:  financial and managerial accounting, computerized accounting, taxation.

It is the responsibility of the instructors to be knowledgeable of the content they teach as well as able to convey that content in a manner that is accessible to the College’s diverse student population. Along with learning and growing the College’s culture, Adjunct Faculty are also responsible for providing students with the ability to take their knowledge and apply it to their
future coursework and/or the career arc of their choosing.
 

Essential Functions

The successful candidate must be able to plan and provide content instruction to students enrolled in their section(s); Hold an office hour per week, per section taught, to meet with students concerning course content and other individual needs; Assess the knowledge of students enrolled and submit grades representative of their knowledge and achievement on assessments; Connect students with the campus resources that will best supplement the needs of the students enrolled in your section(s); Work effectively with students and staff of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages and successfully interact with supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an education team. 

Experience & Education

Education & Experience

Qualified candidates will have requisite teaching skills and appropriate teaching experience.   Advanced courses for Accounting certificate CPA preference. .  A Master degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting; A Bachelor's degree and CPA is acceptable.
