The Director, Business Development - Locum Tenens will be responsible for creating relationships with hospitals and healthcare systems and winning new business. He or she will focus on strategically selected key accounts not currently contracted with Aya Healthcare. The Director, Business Development - Locum Tenens will excel in helping healthcare organizations solve their physician labor challenges by leveraging our suite of highly differentiated services and software, making a significant impact on both new clients, and the healthcare staffing industry. This position will be remotely based.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of Locums Tenens business development representatives
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and liaison to other Aya Healthcare sales teams as they introduce Locums to existing clients.
  • Responsible for growing market share with current and new clients
  • Serve as the expert for qualifying new sales opportunities through systematic discovery of business opportunities
  • Structure detailed strategic plans for building new business relationships with key stakeholders and "C" level executives within client healthcare organizations
  • Define territory strategy for sales teams including cross-functional selling teams
  • Create and track metrics for the sales team accountability and performance
  • Lead the team in closing complex sales cycles including pricing, contracting, and technology implementation strategies
  • Continually expand knowledge of Locum Tenens staffing market trends and competitive offerings

Required Qualifications:

This position is a client facing role that will require on-site clients visits; therefore, where permitted by applicable law, you will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including having the COVID-19 booster if eligible.

  • A minimum of 5 years as a top producer within the locums staffing industry is required
  • Minimum 2 years experience leading a top sales team or sales division within the locums staffing industry is required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • An insatiable desire to win and relentless drive to succeed
  • Ability to think creatively and identify multiple paths to win new business

Compensation: Aya reasonably anticipates the pay scale for this position to be an annual salary of $110,000 to $120,000. Exciting incentive compensation in addition to base salary with ability to transcend your personal income situation for top performance.

The pay scale for this position may vary if applicant possesses experience outside of what Aya reasonably anticipates for this position. Bonuses are subject to the role and your manager's discretion.
