Your Role

The Salesforce Platform & Operations Team is focused on optimizing Salesforce solutions and maximizing value across the enterprise. Salesforce is an enterprise platform targeted to help accelerate our transformation program, enable innovation, and help realize our vision for a reimagined healthcare system. Our team works cross-functionally to link our key business strategies and initiatives with our platform roadmap and day-to-day operations. We are responsible for driving critical business and vendor alignment, defining and executing the enterprise product roadmap, and maintaining operational excellence.

The Salesforce Administrator, reporting to the Salesforce Administration Manager, will work as part of the team dedicated to ensuring that BSC's Salesforce solution is maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of Salesforce on the various user group needs. The Salesforce Administrator role will define Salesforce projects required to support programs and partners to ensure their implementation on time, within budget and with benefits realized. The Salesforce Administrator manages Salesforce programs/releases from initiation through delivery and monitors for continuous improvement, and organizes the interdepartmental activities and performs operational responsibilities.

Your Work

  • Manage (review requirements, develop and test) enhancements and implementations to the system in line with given business needs; Maintain Users, User Roles, Security, and Profiles
  • Provide support to Salesforce users in all groups and act as the primary point of contact for end-user support for multiple complex orgs, with over 1,500 users
  • Perform hands on development and maintain business logic using Lighting Flows, Sharing Rules, Profiles, Page Layouts, Record Types, Validation Rules, etc.
  • Plan and take actions to ensure sustainable growth and scalability of the Salesforce platform
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including business, IT and vendor delivery teams to develop and deploy scalable software and services across the organization
  • Deploy Salesforce meta-data between non-production and production environment using appropriate source control tools; and partner with business to manage quality of data in Salesforce.com
  • Coordinate and lead user acceptance tests with various groups to ensure the quality of developed solutions and ensure Quality Assurance testing happens on all developed solutions before deployment
  • Research, advise, and document on best practices for Salesforce solutions and remain current on Salesforce.com releases and new features
  • Work with Salesforce Support to troubleshoot issues and maintain smooth operation and performance on the platform
  • Maintain awareness of all as-built custom features deployed to the production platform

Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
  • Requires at least 2 years of Salesforce configuration experience
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Advanced Administrator Certification preferred
  • Experience in building custom Salesforce solutions, including a working knowledge of: The Lightning Platform, Lightning Flow, Profiles, Record Types, Sharing Rules, Formula fields, Validation Rules, Lightning App Builder, Communities, Omnistudio
  • Experience working on multiple Salesforce Implementations with Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Health Cloud, Custom Applications, and associated technologies
  • Experience using source control tools, such as GIT, Bitbucket, Visual Studio, etc.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiar with use cases that require Apex code, Triggers, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components is a plus

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is: $ 94160.00 to $ 141240.00 for California.

Please note that this range represents the pay range for this and many other positions at Blue Shield that fall into this pay grade. Blue Shield salaries are based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, location (California, Bay area, or outside California), and current employee salaries for similar roles.
