Instructor/Assistant/Associate Professor of Marketing/Business
Job Description
Lincoln University School of Business is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position to teach marketing and business-related courses, for undergraduate and graduate level courses offered in seat, online, and hybrid. This is a full-time, 9-month position, which may begin as soon as August 2023 and will continue into the 2023/2024 academic year.
The contracted teaching load is 12 hours per semester, with the opportunity for teaching overloads and summer courses.
Full-time faculty are expected to participate in advising students in office and online, participate in faculty and campus committees, attend faculty assembly, division meetings, and conduct program/class assessments in accordance with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), university policies, strategic plan, rules, and regulations, as well as the standard criteria set forth by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Approved by the Lincoln University School of Business HR committee.
This position will be open until filled. Salary-$46,000-$65,168
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Teach Marketing, Management, and Business-related coursework in classroom and online modalities at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Research in accordance with tenure faculty requirements.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with integrating instructional technology into classroom experiences.
- Assist students with academic advising.
- Prepare course syllabi for assigned courses that meet the needs of students according to university policy and accreditation requirements.
- Participate in the development of assessments and evaluation of courses and the program for continuing improvement.
- Maintain professional development according to personal and professional need.
- Assist in recruitment efforts for the program by participating in university recruitment events and communicating with interested students.
- Assist with ACBSP reporting. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of ACBSP standards and criteria required for progress reports and accreditation reaffirmation.- Ability to perform teaching, administrative, and clerical duties independently in order to fulfill goals and objectives of the program within the overall mission of the department, the university, and within accreditation guidelines.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, strong work ethic, and a commitment to working well with others.
- Work within an online modality and develop course curricula.
Education and Experience
A terminal degree in related field area, MBA considered.- ABDs with a documented completion date may be considered.
- Teaching experience at a higher educational institution is preferred.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated experience with integrating instructional technology into classroom experiences.
Physical Requirements
Light sedentary office work.- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
