Job Description

The Anderson College of Business and Computing at Regis University in Denver, Colorado invites applications for a Lecturer in finance (part-time) to begin in Fall of 2023. The successful candidate will show potential for excellent teaching. Applicants should have a PhD, DBA, or masters in finance or a related discipline. Applicants with knowledge and experience in the areas of finance, capital markets, money and banking, and financial analysis are preferred.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Duties

  • Teach five undergraduate level courses in a 12-month period in the face-to-face, day-time, semester (16-week) program. The candidate may be requested to teach online sections of select courses.
  • Maintain currency in the field of finance through industry practice (e.g., consulting projects, work in industry) and/or scholarship (e.g., research publications, presenting at conferences).
  • Conduct service to the department and college as a participating faculty member. This includes holding office hours, course development, attending department and college meetings, serving on committees as appropriate, and attending and encouraging students to attend college and university events.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates will have an MBA, master's degree in finance, or related master's degree with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate credit in finance, or a DBA or PhD in finance or a related field. Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Scholarship in the finance discipline or continued work in industry (e.g., consulting, other job) or other activities that demonstrate currency in the finance discipline
  • Ability to teach undergraduate introductory and advanced finance courses
