Job Description

The HR Partner is a policy expert responsible for initiating and/or approving HR/Payroll business processes in Workday for academic personnel. The HR Partner has administrative responsibilities and will be the primary approver for business processes related to nonacademic personnel. The HR Partner will be responsible for maintaining systems to support key human resources initiatives; ensuring the integrity of employee demographic and employment data; and maintaining all personnel, benefits, and payroll information and support daily HR operations as well as continuous improvements using Workday. The position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will partner Academic Affairs. The role requires gathering of requirements, solving issues, hands on, developing and executing new enhancements.

Workday HCM and Payroll:

· Responsible for supporting Workday HR modules including; HCM, Compensation, Absence, and Recruiting as well as Workday Payroll

· Responsible for supporting Academic Faculty hiring, Academic Appointments and Academic Pay processes in Workday.

· Manage day-to-day Workday HCM activities and supports cross-functional departments with Workday issue resolution and projects

Key Tasks:

  • Responsible for initiating, reviewing and approving all major Academic/Faculty/Temporary Academic employee changes and

· Academic/Faculty/Temporary Academic new hires within their responsible Supervisory Organization (Promotion/Demotion,

· Job data changes, creating new positions and managing existing positions, I9 verifications)

  • Manage movement of groups of employees to new or existing Supervisory Organizations
  • Manage Supervisory Organizational reporting for Academic/Faculty/Temporary Academic employees
  • Initiate all compensation related changes to Academic/Faculty/Temporary Academic employees within their associated

· Supervisory Organizations (increases/decreases, new positions, new hire compensation proposals, one-time payments, allowance plans, etc.)

  • Manage compensation reporting for all Academic/Faculty/Temporary Academic employees within their associated Supervisory Organization

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of HR/Payroll Workday experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

● Master’s Degree

● Experience as a Workday leader within academic administration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,755.00 - $84,166.00 per year
