Position Summary
The Department of Accounting in the G. Brint Ryan College of Business at the University of North Texas invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank. Our preference is for a fall 2023 start date, however this is negotiable.
This position will have assignment of research, teaching, and service. It is desired for the candidate to have a teaching interest in auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting, or taxation incorporating data analytics for accounting. The candidate should also have research training and interest in experimental or archival methodology. Additionally, the candidate should have a willingness and ability to mentor PhD students.

- For the rank of Professor, there may be an endowed chair appointment opportunity.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Accounting (or equivalent) from an AACSB-accredited institution completed by the start of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching interests in auditing, financial accounting, managerial accounting, or taxation incorporating data analytics for accounting.
- Research training and interest in experimental or archival methodology.
- CPA or equivalent professional certification.
