The Accommodations Coordinator (Staff Specialist, level 8) will work closely with the Full-time Programs (Daytime MB A, MMS, and MQM) at the Fuqua School of Business to support testing accommodations and provide additional support for projects as needed. The primary role will be to manage and execute academic and testing accommodation s for the full-time students. This will include but is not limited to assisting with obtaining reading materials in alternative formats; assigning and confirming test times with students; coordinating testing parameters with faculty; obtaining and returning exams to faculty; and proctoring and obtaining proctors for testing sessions. This is a full-time position that reports to the Associate Director of Student Life.

Responsibilities:

  • Testing accommodations support for full-time programs (65%)
  • Coordinate testing accommodations for the Daytime MBA, MMS and MQM programs for students with academic accommodations.
  • Proctor testing for students with accommodations. May include some evening and weekend hours depending on the testing schedule.
  • Manage Early Exam Day process and coordination.
  • Maintain confidential documents and information.
  • Assess materials for accessibility and convert materials as needed.
  • Interact with diverse student population, including international students.
  • Interact with outside constituents, faculty, staff, students, and other university personnel.

Project support for full-time programs (35%)

  • Provide office and reception coverage, creating a welcoming and informative office environment that promotes quality service and excellence.
  • Work with Daytime MBA, MMS and MQM program teams on projects and programs as needed.
  • Participate in planning and delivery of student events, including Orientation, Graduation, and Winterfest.

Minimum Qualifications

Education
An undergraduate degree strongly preferred. Work requires knowledge of basic mathematical, research and communications principles normally acquired through two years of postsecondary education.

Experience/Skills

  • 3 years of administrative experience, preferably in an academic environment
  • Comfort working in a highly computerized environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, internet research, and database management
  • Working knowledge or willingness to quickly learn to use Canvas
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • High level of attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities according to importance and urgency, requiring flexibility to adapt to changes driven by faculty or student needs
  • Professional service skills to support faculty, students, and colleagues
  • Enthusiasm, friendliness, resourcefulness, and ability to be proactive
