Overview
The BI Analyst position is a key role within a new centralized analytics group that helps build the future of reporting and analytics for mission-critical areas around patient care and research. Within this role, you will be able to combine your technical, problem solving, and leadership skills to build the solutions our partner teams need to succeed. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong SQL skills in addition to experience creating data visualizations using BI software such as Tableau. This BI Analyst position will support early-stage, innovative clinical initiatives that improve patient safety and provider efficiency. We are looking for individuals who can see the big picture, beyond individual projects. This is an opportunity to grow alongside our team as we build a world class analytics environment.
As the Institute continues to expand, executive leadership at Dana-Farber recognizes the overall impact of analytics on our physicians, researchers, and most importantly, our patients. This recognition comes with a committed investment in the COBA team to build the data and analytics infrastructure that will continue to fuel the Institute’s growth. Our role is to provide accessible, easy to understand and insightful data products that make regular reporting easy, root cause analysis rich and effective, and insight to action lightning speed. As we embrace advanced analytics, you will help build the foundation of our predictive modeling capabilities to empower decision makers to make more informed choices. On the COBA team, you will be part of building an analytics Center of Excellence that drives data-driven insights and teaches others to apply analysis in ways that improves lives both today and in the future.

- Serve as a critical link between the data engineering and internal stakeholders. Work cross-functionally both upstream and downstream.
- Maintain department and Institute-level KPIs. Shape multi-quarter agenda to ensure we are best serving the needs of our stakeholder teams.
Qualifications

- 1+ years of experience building data visualizations (preferably Tableau) to communicate complex ideas and enable data-driven decision making.
- 1+ years of experience in Analytics or Business Intelligence performing quantitative analysis with one year in healthcare or life sciences.
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements to build and transform data into valuable, easy to understand insights.
