Job Description

Position Summary:

The department of Business Management at D’Youville University is looking for qualified candidates to add to a pool of adjunct instructors to potentially teach lectures and online classes at the undergraduate and graduate level.  The department is accepting applications for positions to be filled as needed.  Our department houses a Business Management B.S. degree with majors in Business Management, Marketing, Sports Management, Health Services Management, and Healthcare Analytics. The Department of Business also offers an online Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.  

Qualifications: 

• Master degree or higher in business or related field from an accredited college or university 
• Previous experience with teaching in higher education is preferred
• Previous experience teaching online and in-person classes in business 
• Strong interpersonal communication skills 
• Ability to utilize various software.

Responsibilities: 

• Teach assigned course in accordance with its established learning outcomes.  
• Develop and implement course assignments and deliver learning activities that permit measurement of course student learning outcomes.  
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative course environment 
• Report progress updates and final grades for students. 
• Provide access to and timely response to students via in-person (e.g., office hours), videoconference, or telephone.  
• Uphold the mission and vision of D’Youville.
