The Department of Humanistic Management and Hospitality in the School of Management at University of San Francisco (USF) is hiring an Assistant Professor to begin in August 2023. This is a full-time faculty, tenure track position based in San Francisco, California.

Job Responsibilities : As an Assistant Professor, you will actively engage in teaching, research, and service activities. Key job responsibilities include: teaching 18 units per year; conducting and publishing high quality academic research in peer-reviewed journals; and meaningfully participating in department, school, university, and community service activities.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a doctorate in organizational behavior, management, organizational psychology, social psychology, human resource management, or related discipline by August 1, 2023. Of note, we are not seeking Hospitality applicants at this time. Additionally, you need to demonstrate evidence of a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service. This includes experience:
- Serving as the primary instructor or teaching assistant for undergraduate or graduate courses on topics related to organizational behavior, leadership, teams, ethical decision-making, organization development, change management, management consulting, and research methods.
- Publishing research in peer reviewed journals and/or presenting research as academic conferences.
- Leading and/or serving on committees, boards, or clubs to help advance organization or community goals.
It is also essential that you can articulate how to connect theoretical research and teaching to practice in organizational and business settings. Preference will be given to applicants with work experience and/or research directly related to the practice of management.
